It's like the feeling when you browse around posh stores in KLCC or The Pavilion. Seeing the concept stores there with glass, metal and concrete merge together to create something that can showcase the stuff they are selling. It makes everything else feels surreal, good, and refreshing. Maybe it's because i don't live in these kind of environment that i feel in awe. Before this i did not really realize that these things were there, just the perception that "this is a shopping complex, it's not weird that the shop lots here look like this, in fact it's perfectly normal."
Now after browsing various works by architects and designers from around the world, i feel like i want to incorporate their designs into my concept store sketches, but it's like too much awesomeness that my brain cannot fully comprehend and put parts in place. I still feel that my ideations and sketches are a bit out of place in some areas, and need more refinement. Being an advertising project in the first place, the message needs to be projected first and foremost, before the form take place. So many things to balance, but it's quite fun!
Hopefully when i proceed to 3d modelling, the ideas will become more fleshed out and makemore sense to viewers. The problem is, my 3d modelling skills have become rusty, or possibly zero after maybe a year of non-practice huhu. Later i think i'll put up some screencaps.
